Moving from patient to patient, this physician carries knowledge, responsibility, and attentive presence with her. Collaged fragments suggest the many forms of information she must gather and interpret while remaining grounded in the human work of care.
On Rounds follows the rhythm of a physician’s working day: observing, listening, deciding, explaining, and moving onward while carrying each encounter forward. Musical notation, maps, and patterned papers become metaphors for the many languages of medicine—science, memory, intuition, teamwork, and compassion. The faceless figure can represent the many women whose authority is expressed not through spectacle, but through sustained attention and the steady practice of care.
